Hannah & Bryan are one of the most interesting couples NGE has had the pleasure of working with! They actually already tied the knot last year in an intimate ceremony with their close family prior to being transferred to Africa for their careers. In-between being transferred yet again from Africa to Spain, they decided to head back to San Diego to host a killer celebration with all of their family and friends at home. Their main goal was to be as informal as possible with a touch of wedding so we settled on a short but personal ceremony followed by party, party, party! Their venue, The New Children’s Museum in San Diego, might not seem like the most typical wedding venue, but that’s exactly why we love it! It was the perfect location to showcase their sweet and playful personalities, who are really just kids at heart (c’mon, they even had a piñata, a slushy machine, and donuts)!
With a friend officiating, they honored Bryan’s Japanese heritage with a tea ceremony connecting the two families followed by Bryan’s sisters reading poems and playing guitar. Hannah and Bryan’s love for each other also stems from traveling the world together, which integrated it’s way into many details of their celebration…from the ceremony to naming the dining tables of locations of places they’ve visited. To make sure this was a celebration no one would forget, our talented groom actually invited his old marching band to perform as a surprise to his guests and then did the sweetest thing ever…sang Hannah a song on the ukulele…ultimate swoon! This night was full of love and laughter that it truly touched our heart, we love you guys!
