We started working with Jessica and Jake shortly after their engagement when they had booked one of our favorite properties, the San Diego Safari Park! In fact, they were the first wedding to be held the Safari Park’s newest venue, Kijamii or “African Plains” Overlook, which was exciting in itself. I absolutely loved visiting the site while it was still under construction and witnessing it come together. Jessica and Jake were so relaxed through planning and totally trusting…so much so that the first time they saw their “finished” venue was on their actual wedding day! I love couples that are able to focus on the fun stuff and not get stressed on the logistical details…totally our style and Jessica and Jake were that to a “T”!

If you haven’t been to the Safari Park, it is a must see in San Diego! We may be partial to this particular venue within the park, but c’mon the space is just so picturesque! As the night grew on, the wild animals in the overlook started to appear more and more. The newest member to the Safari Park, an endangered baby white rhino, even made an appearance in the distance. To top this party off, the Safari Park hosted an animal meet and greet with a cheetah (and his best friend, a Labrador!), and an owl and parrot up close and personal. My favorite part, as always, was all of the light-hearted vibes, hilarious toasts, and a relaxed and down-to-earth group of friends and family coming together to celebrate this beautiful couple.
