Hi friends! It’s always a little weird for me to talk about myself, but if you’re reading this, thanks! I feel so grateful for having the opportunity to start a career and be in an industry that allows me to be a creative and confident business woman. A lot of people dream of being a wedding planner when they grow up, but I never expected for me to actually become one. Event planning started off as a hobby, a side job for me, but after diving into the real world of this industry, I realized how much I truly enjoy it and I can’t image my life without it anymore. I love love, and being surrounded by amazing couples helping them create their special day is one of the most rewarding feelings. I have learned so much and grown immensely as a person these past couple years being a part of NGE, and I can’t wait for what the future holds for me and the company.
Who Inspires You: Friends and family, plain and simple. My inner circle is what keeps me going but also keeps me grounded at the same time. They constantly remind me of how strong I am, what I’m capable of, and everything will be alright. They inspire me to be the best version of myself.
Planning Secrets that I Wish Everyone Knew: It’s 90% planning, 10% wedding day. Most people think the wedding day itself is the hard part, but for me it’s actually the easy part. Sure, the day-of is a whirlwind, but it is so fun and beautiful that it doesn’t even feel like work half the time. The months of behind-the-scenes work in the planning process are so important.
Favorite Type of Event Design: Sentimental. I’m a big softie, so I absolutely love it when couples incorporate sentimental details into their wedding design. Adding little personal elements is what makes your wedding special and how to let your guests in a little to your unique love story. It’s the little things that get you, and what better way to make the most important day of your life even more special.
Favorite Part of the Wedding Day: I concur with Nicole’s previous answer. I love the calm before the storm when everything is done setting up but guests haven’t arrived yet. No matter how short that time span is, I try to just stop, take a breath, take a step back, and just admire how beautiful everything is. It’s so special to be able to show your clients the final product we’ve been working months for finally come to fruition.
Favorite Drink: Anything fruity (that goes for both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages!) I love a refreshing iced tea since coffee just hits me wayyy too hard. And of course the occasional glass of wine after a long day!
Hobbies: Traveling, I am always down for an adventure and going to new places! Also, heights and roller coasters, super adrenaline junkie.
