We absolutely adored working with Vera + Ming on their special elopement dinner celebration. From the get-go, they had the idea of creating in intimate gathering of their closest family and friends but didn’t know where to start. Working with them from the very beginning, choosing the private rooftop of Redbird was the perfect atmosphere to execute their modern and minimalist vision. Nestled in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, Redbird was originally the clergy’s residence next to the historic Vibiana (a former church, now venue), so not only was it a unique and fitting option for their eclectic tastes, Redbird’s unique cuisine and tasty cocktails made this thee most perfect venue for their wedding.
Katie Pritchard Photography, one of our favorite gal pals in the industry, truly captured the love and essence of our amazing couple. Even though their event was more elopement style, we loved that they incorporated a first look and took the time to explore every inch of the venue for their personal portraits. For the design, Vera and Ming really wanted to keep the look minimalistic, modern, and elegant. We focused on lots of candlelight and light tones by Peony & Plum, customized modern paper goods from Design by Laney, and specialty tabletop from La Tavola Linen and Signature Party Rentals to create texture and hints of modernism.
We were so honored to help plan their special day and wish them lots and lots of happiness for years to come!
